Paganini Violins?

Recommended Posts

I'm new to this board, and I have a question for all of you. I was recently at an antique mall, and I saw a few violins. Most of them weren't worth anything, and I think that they were just there because they looked old. However, one of the violins had the word "Paganini" samped on the back, right below where the neck attaches to the body. It had a one piece back, and think the perfing was inlaid. The label was present, and it looked pretty aged, but I don't remember the maker. Has anyone ever heard of Paganini's name being stamped on the back of an instrument before, and if so, is it worth anything? Thanks. :-)
