Ken Nielsen
Dave Brubeck and Paul Desmond. Dave is still alive. I miss the clever counterpoint and melodic exchanges during performances between these two.

dmgardner
I would have to pick Niel Gow and Archangelo Correlli. The fusion of Scottish and Italian would be GRRRRRRREAT.

Professor Viola
Paganini and Bach. I'm really interested in seeing if Paganini really had supernatural powers. Brad Stevens
If I could go to a concert with any two musicians, alive or dead, I would choose to go with them alive. I'd choose to go hear Paganini and Liszt. I'd choose to go with Mozart and Ives.
Stephen
I would go with Hector Berlioz, for the conversation. Such a sharp wit, and so perceptive! The man knew how to think for himself.
paganiniboy
Man, thats a tought one... Its between Paganinni, Ernst, Ysaye, and Bach. But, I would probably have to say Paganini and Ysaye. V.Mage
I would go see Louis Armstrong and Bach. Satch could teach Bach to swing and Bach could teach Pops hmm, well nothing Armstrong is god. Improvisations on the Chaconne, transcribed to trumpet and harpsichord :-)
Thorkil
I would go for Paganini and Scubert, the last one in one of the many "schubertiads". I like the chamberfeeling. T.
double dad
Bill Evans and Scott LaFaro; two-thirds of the Bill Evans Trio of the early-60s. LaFaro was an incredible bass player whose life was tragically cut short (he was in his early 20s) when he was killed in a car accident about 10 days after recording the Trio's legendary performance at the Village Vanguard. fiddlefaddle
I'd rather go to a concert with any two live musicians than any two dead ones.
Theresa
I'd go to hear DuPre and Argerich; I'd go with Brahms and Chopin. I'd go home to Milstein and Lee. And I'd dream about the Owl and the Pussycat. Sweet dreams, Theresa
Bayer521
That was a cool twist Theresa. I'd go listen to Richter, Paganini, Heifetz, I'd go see Beethoven and Rachmaninoff, I'd hit the parties with Mozart, Go drink with Tchaikovsky and Brahms, I'll go home with Du Pre and Clara Schumann.
