Maestro
Any idea if these pieces have been recorded by anyone? I'd appreciate if someone could give the titles of each piece , I know no.4 is called Burleske, but I am not sure about the other 3. Thanks. Toscha
Titles of the pieces are: 1. Quassi Ballata 2. Appasionata 3. Un poco triste 4. Burlesque Burlesque has been recorded by Milstein, Zimbalist, Ricci and others, but only "complete" set I have is by Ginette Neveu, with her brother Jean Neveu at the piano. Hildegard
There's a recording from the '70s by Nilla Pierrout, which might be available at some library. But then there's a CD ("Curiosa") which was released maybe two years ago and still very available from Chamber Sound (chambersound@swipnet.se; unfortunaltely I don't think you can find it at Amazon or places like that) by Wieska Szymczynska and Benedicte Haid. It's good and has all the four pieces on it. [This message has been edited by Hildegard (edited 06-12-2001).]
brontosaurous
Does anybody know at all when these were written? I need the information quite urgently. Thanks!
Elfrida
The copyright year is 1900 for the edition that I'm looking at.
brontosaurous
Thanks. I read some sleeve notes last night which said they were all written in the spring of 1900, so that's perfectly correct. Cheers for the help!
K544
These pieces are an absolute gas to play with piano.
