The violin is very very easy to play on. It almost feels like the bow is floating across the strings( corny i admit). It is not crystal clear like a strad, but has almost a sort of muddy tone, but it is still a very beautiful sound. I however do not practice on it. I practice on a student violin, because I believe they are so much harder to get a good tone out of. I believe if I can get a good tone out of a student violin, I can get a good tone out of anything, and so far it has worked.

I am glad you let us know how you and your mother were doing. She will be in my prayers kiddo! As I said before I know what that illness can do to a family. Hang in there and keep playing. My thoughts are with your mother as she goes through chemo. I say THROUGH as I believe she will come out on the other side!

I didn't know about all that other stuff, I didn't need to know it either! I just missed your input and adventures! JANICE

Are you refering to people who are nice to you too? Or only to people who are "bad thought and speech" people, as they as they are (maybe) not thinking about "you" anyway?

I am talking about the people who do not like me staylor, and since you have been so nice to me through this don't worry its not directed to you.

Welcome back Starlight_Sweetie... I must have been away when the arguments over your instrument/teaching/playing were going on, because I don't really remember them... just remember, as many people who don't believe you on this board, there are just as many who do (at least I'm always inclined to believe what established posters tell me). Anyway... it's nice to see you back (it'd be even nicer if Toasty would show up too). Good luck!

I wuz here all the time, '!' but not in all the threads.

There are so many threads that it takes a long time to load and read them all so I tend to read titles I like.

This is a great site and together with Shar Catalogue in the Mail I am becomming quite an

expert on some areas of Fildding.

BTW The last Shar Catalogue is real nice and has some great pictures. I like the layout and ease of finding things - lots of stuff I did not even know existed, like a Rest for a Fiddle LOL, I need one of those for me ....

It doesn't usually take me too long before I read a thread which has my name in the heading!

It even proved sufficient to ressurect S_S, long before you finally decided it might prove interesting! smile.gif
