nathan slobodkin Posted July 7 Report Posted July 7 I asked about bow chisels a while back and wound up buying the Pfeil ones. Turns out these are as soft as butter and totally worthless. Any other suggestions on decent bow chisels? As I said before I have simply used mine up and need replacements.

Deo Lawson Posted July 7 Report Posted July 7 Pfeil indeed make soft chisels. Don't be so quick to throw them away; they can be hardened, as I've had to do with mine. I don't know why they leave the factory so soft, but if I had to guess it's for ease of sharpening.
