Original Still Life With a Violin Oil Painting

I thought I’d offer this here. I have enjoyed it for about 10 years and need to make some wall space for a new oil painting I just purchased.

This is an original oil-on-canvas painting by Hungarian artist Apátfalvi Czene János (also known as János Czene Apátfalvi (1904–1984)). The painting depicts a richly arranged still life with a violin, books, sheet music, spectacles, and a candle.

The work is signed lower left and presented in an ornate gilt frame with carved floral and scroll decoration.

The painting measures approximately 19 3/4 in. × 15 1/2 in. and the framed dimensions are approximately 27 in. × 23 1/4 in. Painting and frame are both in excellent condition.
