I have an antique violin and I'm just looking for some knowledge or direction to go. I know it has been restored and it has been redrilled at tuners. What else can u tell me?

More photos of the violin (not the bogus label) would be necessary to tell something significant. At first sight it looks like a better "usual" - or even Chinese.

…the label is definitely not bogus…

The “Stradivarius” label is definitely bogus.  It is not even an accurate facsimile.  One who knows what to look for can tell by the text.

The “Carlo Micelli” label is probably genuine.  Carlo Micelli is a trade name that was used by the Karl Meisel firm.

I know that your Strad label is bogus because the first two digits - “17” - of the date are printed, and the last two are written in by hand.  The genuine Strad labels pictured in the Hill book “Antonio Stradivari - His Life and Work (1644-1737)” show that the dates on his earlier labels had the first three digits printed and the fourth written in by hand.  But, starting in 1698, only the first digit was printed and that last three were written in by hand.

From your pictures, I can tell that you know (or knew) someone named Kendra.  I can’t tell much about the violin.  But there are other people here, more knowledgeable than me, who could tell you something if you put up better pictures.

Neck is grafted and pegs are bushed. Scroll fluting looks like it goes back to the throat. Could be a heavily antiqued "master art" type German instrument. Karl Meisel had "Master Art" models in their "Carlo Micelli" product line, so may be one of those. Need better pictures.

From the photos it’s not even clear if the scroll belongs. What I’m used to see at genuine grafted scrolls from the Mnk trade, they used scrolls with similar flamed wood alike the neck, also bushings of a smaller extent. So the scroll could be from something else.

Flash light photos are not very useful due to deep shadows and reflections.
