David Alex Tricot Posted November 5, 2025 Report Posted November 5, 2025 I noticed 2 italian luthiers contemporary auctions this week : https://www.catawiki.com/fr/l/98704269-luca-zerilli-direct-from-the-luthier-stradivari-violoncelle-italie-2025?po=search&poq=violoncelle https://www.catawiki.com/fr/l/98874393-gabriele-pralea-direct-from-the-luthier-capicchioni-violoncelle-italie-2025?po=search&poq=violoncelle Beautifull work. I wish them success. It is not usual to see such sales.
violinouno Posted November 6, 2025 Report Posted November 6, 2025 Very chinese work perhaps. Great estimate and reserve from Simone)

Wood Butcher Posted November 8, 2025 Report Posted November 8, 2025 I am not familiar with that site, but there is enough to make me wonder how legit it is.
fragslap Posted November 15, 2025 Report Posted November 15, 2025 I emailed Mr. Zerelli and he confirmed it was his instrument: "Good morning, and thank you for reaching out! Sorry for the late reply, I've been very busy lately. Yes, on Catawiki is my cello, it's a Stradivari model, the latest one that I've made. There will be another auction in mid December if you're interested!"
David Alex Tricot Posted November 15, 2025 Author Report Posted November 15, 2025 Thanks for this confirmation.
