Hello,

I’m hoping someone may recognize this partial stamp. This bow came with an old stainer copy violin so I’m not familiar with its history. Thanks so much as always for your help!

I see what might be part of the abbreviation... "Ges.Gesch."

Thank you! That definitely appears to be the first 2 words.  Maybe the word and number after it go along with that? Like a patent number?
3 letters (GES) . 5 letters (Gesch) . 4 letters.  1 letter or number

I haven’t noticed a bow stamp like this before. I’m wondering if a certain factory or shop marked them this way or maybe it’s because of the stamped metal patterns?

Probably DRGM (Deutsches Reichsgebrauchsmuster).

I don't see an M in there.  Most of them seem to be S C G or B, something with a curve at the bottom.

Thank you for your help. It helps to know 1920’s-30’s German trade bow. I like the looks of the frog and button and it feels like a decent enough stick. I will get it fixed up.
