munichcello Posted July 5, 2025 Report Posted July 5, 2025 Does anybody have an idea which bow maker could have supplied this Bow to J. B. Vuillaume? (Lot 322 Tarisio T2 Berlin) https://t2-auctions.com/auctions/lot/?csid=2200338432&cpid=4218306560#cond
martin swan Posted July 6, 2025 Report Posted July 6, 2025 Vuillaume bows were stamped either JB Vuillaume or Vuillaume a Paris. And this is more what I'd expect from a Vuillaume microphoto ...
chrissweden Posted July 7, 2025 Report Posted July 7, 2025 Without namesaying, there are people that can make stanhope lenses with Vuillaume's image. This is not a bow from the Vuillaume workshop but rather a German copy of the early 20th century. The stanhope lens addition is modern.
