It looks like the normal edition, like mine.  It is perhaps the best violin book ever published, with real and useful information for the maker, such as measurements, outline, archings, etc. 

I imagined it would become a model, that I would see more books in this format, but I was wrong.

Hi Manfio, could you be wrong? It says in the description limited edition of 500. Also showing an embossed violin on the front cover. I have the library edition, it has only the large gilt IHS logo in the centre of the cover and no mention of the printed numbers.  Anyway, the contents is the same, and I agree, it's a great book for us makers, both for the photography, technical information and articles ( by Dilworth and Hargrave if I remember correctly). There's been some fantastic books on individual instruments published by Scrollavezza - Zanre ( Amati viola, Tuscan Strad, Bergonzi's from the Knoop collection), with even more research and scans etc. There's lots of information available for makers these days, some at a price, other for free ( or almost). Greetings and best wishes from Bristol.
