Is this a true Wolff Brother 1908 Violin?

Is this a true Wolff Brother Violin? Going to buy this one for me to play and learn. It looks pretty and it has been through a luthier so at least i know it shouldn't need any more work, except strings i guess.

The label feels a bit fake? but i honestly have no idea  Also, might you know what rough value these would go for. I have seen online for around $4000usd.

At least it is a Saxon/Bohemian instrument, as distributed by this company. A bit like a "real" Juzek.

do you think it is of decent quality or not worth it?

Or a Mirecourt factory instrument, I’m not sure by the photos. Wolffs sold obviously both sorts of instruments. Looking at the map (below) one realizes that Bad Kreuznach in the Prussian Rhine region (not to be confused with the Eastern parts of this country, which had separated lands widely spread all over central Europe, and not all ethnically German) is even more close to Mirecourt than Markneukirchen.

Valuewise you can see what you can get for it at auction, retail is a different matter. Just don’t believe in the sales blurb of “manufactured in Kreuznach”, what they weren’t.

I told you that retail prices aren't comparable to what you are paying/getting for a "used good" in a private sale or at auctions. Maybe you have to invest a lot, and American East coast prices are....just that.

Thank you. 389usd still a bit of money. I'm trying to justify to my wife so I can buy it. Ok we might do a family trip to test it out.
