I have an old violin, probably 18th century, with the label, “CJ Belling’s Collection. No. 112”  Is anyone familiar with this collection? There is also an illegible word inside of the right f hole lobe, on the back plate. I don’t know anything about where the instrument was made, but it appears to be a handcrafted instrument. I will post measurements and photos later.
