vi00 Posted January 3, 2024 Report Posted January 3, 2024 Hi everyone, this violin was acquired a few years ago in Italy and I'm looking to resell it. I think it was bought for ~2000€ but I would like to have a better estimate of its value before I proceed. I was able to find some information on Aristide Cavalli online but I'm not sure the tag is to be trusted. I'm an amateur so all I can say about its sound is that it's better than student violins, haha. Please let me know if you need further info. Thank you!
Michael Richwine Posted January 4, 2024 Report Posted January 4, 2024 Doesn't look anything like any of the examples I could find. Awfully thick pegs for a violin with so little wear, and conversely, very little wear for a 120+ year old violin. No bow wear, no finger wear, no case wear, etc.

It is not an Aristide Cavalli violin. 1 hour ago, Michael Richwine said: Awfully thick pegs for a violinwith so little wear, and conversely, very little wear for a 120+ year old violin.
