Need help to identify

Thank you Dave. You are right it is made of rosewood. My question is I wonder if this special shape of the peg may give us a clue about the cello maker or the region or the times ? I am a novice player, so I am happy with the cello and the sound. However, I have not seen a peg in this shape, so I was curious.

Frankly, I dislike any peg protrusions, even the nipples, especially on chin instruments, not for appearance but for practicality.

Agree, I like very simple, but elegant pegs.

I like the look of them. As for place and time of the style, I'd say China early 2020s.
