I'm sure no one cares, but someone is trying to take down my YouTube channel with false copyright strikes. I am trying to fight it, but I'm not convinced I will be successful.

If the worst happens I will just cease all auction related activity because I'm tired of having to fight malicious people all the time.

I care.  I really like your channel. I am not much of a YouTuber but I understand there is a process for filing counter-notifications and that YouTube does seek to crack down on false notifications.

In theory (and this may be too much of a hassle) you might be able to seek disclosure of the identity of the person doing it from YT for the purposes of seeking an injunction to get them to stop doing it.

I have the details of the person, but there is only so much I can do. At some point you just can't fight the system anymore.

Well, I would expect YouTube would want to stop them doing it, no? But if not, are they located in England?  I know it might seem daunting but I can't see why a court would not grant an injunction.  Maybe a firm letter would get them to stop?  Or name and shame?

It seems to be an American student at Columbia University and the strikes are raised against Tarisio T2 auctions with really vague and false claims.

I have put in challenges now and reached out to Tarisio for assistance in the worst case.

Does anyone in the US know if I can reach out to Columbia university regarding one of their students making false copyright claims?

This would be sad. But how can the person claim copyrights for T2?

Because YouTube lets anyone submit a copyright claim against anyone without evidence. It is then up to me to challenge it. If I get 3 claims against me then my channel gets taken down.

Unfortunately this is basically the same as Doxing, people do it just to be malicious. Obviously filing false claims can effect the claimant, but usually they just get away with it.

Oh weird.  So this person is only attacking your T2 posts?

So far yes, I have reached out to Tarisio to see if they would support me in the case that my channel get removed. Which I think will happen.

Sadly YouTube has been very unhelpful to me in the past, so I don't expect much help now.

So wouldn’t it be enough that you show a confirmation by Tarisio that they are the copyright owner and the individual is making false claims? At least that’s also affecting their own business.

YouTube is a commercial company trying to get away with as less efforts as possible, similar to other social media channels. That’s quite annoying in many regards.
