David Alex T.
I bought a violin for restauration on which there is mark. I have no clue about the history of the instrument. I don 't know much about old violins. Do someone know this mark? It looks like it is a name. But strange idea to put it on the neck. Could be the student name. David Alex T.
there is a neck repair, and the name seems written after the repair was done. It could also be the restorer's name.

David Alex T.
Is the head/neck enough to conclude it is German old violin?

I noticed a thicker area in center of the front : internal f hole sides versus the external sides
