Yogic
Looks like a copy right to the tailpiece looking similar https://www.ebay.com/itm/144835245977?hash=item21b8da7799:g:4TsAAOSwgtRjgTZC https://www.cellocollection.com/cello-luigi-galimberti-1937/#.Y4psLnbMK3A
jacobsaunders
If it is the same cello (looks like it) then it could be another criminal scam from the South of France

martin swan
The “cello collection in Paris” site is surely all fakes anyway. It’s not a proper website either…

martin swan
Agree If you can’t tell that it’s the same cello or that it has nothing to do with Galimberti then maybe it’s not quite time to give up the day job.

Not 100% sure they are the same cello, beyond the obviously different tailpieces (which of course could have been swapped out), I'm not seeing some of the same details on each instrument. Although the cellocollection site's pictures are terrible. Certainly the same shop/factory.
germain
The South of France "Syndicate" seems to love certain makers in their faking operation. Galimberti is one of them. Giorgio Corsini is another favorite of theirs. I am guessing they have brands and labels, signatures of the above makers. They seem to be always faking not very valuable Italian makers... I guess they are betting on the more obscure makers in order to create more buyer confusion

The pseudo-ebony crown and the 2 odd pins in the upper back etc. It's also a very quirky model with very narrow upper bouts - I would hope there aren't 2 in existence ... Other apparent variations are just differences in lighting.
palousian
The peculiar end to the fingerboard is similar in both celli, but not the same, for what that's worth.

martin swan
Thats just a drop of paint to make it look a bit different ... given that these people take instruments apart to brand and rebrand them, sign them, label them etc I don't think a change of tailpiece and a splodge of gold paint on the fingerboard is going to present much of a challenge. David Alex T.
The Clause is interesting. https://www.cellocollection.com/clause/#.Y5xmHqTfs0E I never saw such clause from a reliable source. The seller do not provide himself a certificate. people who doubt of authenticity have to demonstrate It with written form.
