Name of Book About Bach's Bowings

Recommended Posts

Hi. I once read a book about Sonatas and Partitas for Solo Violin, BWV 1001–1006 by Johann Sebastian Bach. It has a lot of chapters about how the dances affect the chocie of bowings for the perspective movement, I remember there were 1 chapter for each type of dance, and contrasted French and Italian bowing for the same phrase... I can't remember the name. Please help!
