Guido
Would anyone have any old catalogs from the Juzek company as pdf and would be willing to share? Maybe PM. Or someone can post some pages here, I’m just after their bow offerings really.
Brad Dorsey
Do you have a specific question? I know that Metropolitan sold a lot of bows stamped EMILE DUPREE, both nickel and silver, and F N VOIRIN.
Guido
Would be interested specifically in their cello bows both Nürnberger and “Robert Hoyer” (trade name).
GeorgeH
From 1935 (only one page of Cello bows):

Michael Darnton
You know that the Juzeks still own the company, right? When I've had the opportunity to talk with them they've been friendly and informative, with a good knowledge of their past. It's a great company to deal with, and they still have the BEST stuff. Where else can you buy three grades of bass bars, for instance?
Blank face
From the pictures both the F.N. Voirin as well as the Dupree bows look Markneukirchen made. And who the hell was Otto R. Pfretchner?
Dave Slight
Otter Pfretchner. I liked the description of the Tubbs model. Finest English Pernambuco, must have been grown in the greenhouse at Kew Gardens

Michael Darnton
@jacobsaunders Don't know. All I know is that they come from Metropolitan. :-)
Guido
Thanks @GeorgeH. Very informative, albeit not exactly what I had hoped to see. Does anyone know how they faired during and after the war and when/how they resumed trade with Germany. Maybe any catalogues from the 1950s/60s around? Would you be able to share the bow pages? I’m sure someone would have told them to drop the OR Pfretchner line as that was just a bit too funny. But maybe they kept the Hoyer and other lines all along?

Ed Shillitoe
I couldn't open those pdfs, but here is a pic of the bow page in the 1979 catalog. No bow pictures.
