$00-500 dollars for a set??? Not unless they are made of gold.

While they would appear not to be the right fittings for you, it's worth remembering that some people have expensive instruments, where in comparison, the cost of fittings like this, is insignificant.
Some people also get enjoyment from nice things, and appreciate the quality of their work.

The guy I get fittings from is in Canada and he has Tempel violin sets for about $300.00. I usually spend less because I use a center chinrest that is pretty cheap and I grind on them myself until they suit me.  I usually only buy Pegs, Tailpiece and End Pin. I promise Bois d‘Harmonie fittings would be a lot more especially the carved ones. Yes the Tempel fittings are worth it. as are B&C and our own Mr. Meyer.  I have a feeling that I would like some of Bois d‘Harmonie's carved pegs for an instrument some day but I have never found a price on them $$$$! I'm sure.

This viola had ebony Tempel fittings. They are fairly plain without pips, etc. but very comfortable to turn.

This is the guy I get fittings from, I don't know a dealer for Otto Tempel in the US (There probably is one) Lemuel is extremely accommodating and puts up with me.

Yup.  The style fittings on your viola are the style of Tempels I stock for everyday use.  Very well made, good wood and comfortable to use. Frankly, I stay far away from the derth of cheap fittings available these days. If I'm going to do the job, I want to be proud of the results.

You mentioned a couple other fitting makers I sometimes use... and there are a few others I can think of, but between design, material, workmanship and finish, there aren't many.
