Strad O Various Jr. Posted June 28, 2022 Report Posted June 28, 2022 What is see is a $500 violin that was lost in shipping and should have been insured, I don't see evidence of grand theft!!
Ron1 Posted June 29, 2022 Report Posted June 29, 2022 Seems strange that a real Carlo Bergonzi instrument would have ever gotten to the condition shown in the photos.
Strad O Various Jr. Posted June 29, 2022 Report Posted June 29, 2022 The carving of the underside of the scroll appears to stop at 7 O'clock which along with the BOB construction would be consistent with a Markneukirchen trade violin, the graft looks like it could be fake too
