Snowflake1
This poor unloved cello was recently advertised locally for restoration Intrigued, I wonder if it is indeed worth saving and where it was made. It was quickly snapped up so someone thought it might be worth the effort. grateful for some views.
Rue
Looks quite questionable. Are those pictures of pictures from someone's phone/tablet?
Michael Darnton
Those pix are pretty useless. What's needed is a photo of the front from square on in front, same for back, and a side view of the head looking straight on. Up and down or skewed pix don't give any needed info. Look at the stuck post at the top for photo instructions. If the cello is worth $5,000,000 it's worth restoring. If it's worth $5,000, it depends. If it's worth $500, burn it. FiddleDoug
Are you sure that they weren't buying it for kindling?
deans
It also depends on what "worthy" means. Do you need the financial aspects to work out nicely for you? Not everyone does, but for many people its the decision driver. And this one needs to be something pretty nice to make economic sense. Marty Kasprzyk
Adopting pets or children doesn't make financial sense either.
Deo Lawson
Advertised for restoration? I'd advertise it for a community bbq.

Snowflake1
Thanks for the replies, I know the photos are pretty poor but the best I could get with a phone photo of the original advert. I didn’t see it, just interested to know as a long shot if it’s country of origin or quality could be identified etc. Guess not, but someone loved it once!
