bridgeshome
I’m interested in finding out what kind of wood this chin rest is made of, as well as the style (Teka?) I don’t know its exact age, but I do know it was on my father’s violin for at least 60 years that I know of. It could have been on there in the 1930s, when he got it, but I don’t know if it’s the right vintage. Any info would be great, thank you. Dwight Brown
Maybe boxwood? DLB
Rothwein
Not Teka, which clamps to the left of the tailpiece and is a bit more wedge-shaped. Maybe an early Flesch style?

Maybe an early Flesch style? Yes, it does look that way. I also had a shop mention Zitsman, but the contours are more like the Flesch. Thank you!
