PhilipKT
https://www.shopgoodwill.com/Item/128954539 i am quite sure that the label is not original to this violin. Hard to tell anything about the bow, too. Someone may well wish they had their $850:back when all is said and done. deans
Looks like 1950s-60s Juzek Bubba, or Roman Teller, something like that. IMO these often sound better than the 1920s Juzeks. I'm thinking 7/8, which might disappoint the buyer.

It's at $1,702 with 2 hours to go. My prediction is $2,302. I've come to recognize the bidder's handles and there's two bidding that will drive this to ridiculousness... as usual. Jeny Mahon
Seems I underestimated by quite a bit. At this point, all I can tell you is that the final price will most likely end in 1 or 2 We'll probably see it turn up on SGW again.
PhilipKT
I wish they had posted meaningful photographs of the bow. It looked like it was potentially some thing, but I’m not gonna pay $2000 to find out

Do you think the winning bidder declined it to pay at all? Or do you think they received it and were able to return it? Or is there a particular pattern that you know of at all? Strad O Various Jr.
Obviously the winning bidders are one and the same with the seller, its too much evidence to claim there's any doubt left about it IMHO

And you have to pay both sets of premiums. Whoever is doing it doesn’t consider that much of a handicap, but it does seem like a big waste of time

When you see some low, or zero, feedback users fighting over something, it's time to sit back, and munch popcorn. I saw an auction relist recently, where the seller was so annoyed with the winner who wouldn't pay, that he "doxxed" the guy, in the new photos, phone # and all. Buyer's remorse is a common reason for not paying, and the more likely reason here. Exuberant bidders suddenly get sober in the cold light of day when they have to actually pay for the thing. Strad O Various Jr.
Buyers remorse is one cancellation out of ten, this is multiple cancellations over and over again, goodwill employess are pretty sure to be involved, Goodwill is a very shady company in many respects IMHO

Strad O Various Jr.
I've seen this relisting happen multiple times with Goodwill auctions from this particular source, and as one poster pointed out, he recognises the same people fighting over the highest bidding, Its a common occurrence in small time unregulated auctions, ebay went to great lengths to make shill bidding easier to get away with by hiding all the identities of bidders, seems like Goodwill has shill bidding on steroids IMHO
