murray kuun
Just completed my second fiolin in #veryblue. I have nothing against traditional violins, in fact, they still produce my favourite music. Just my take on a 21st century violin, not an attack on traditionalism. This model has stock standard geometry and cubic capacity and it is built in the traditional way. The main difference is only 2 corner blocks compared to 4 - I like what the extra freedom does for the sound.
Davide Sora
Nice! I just do not like the pointed end of the pegbox and the triangular back button and heel (the button is also too small for my taste). Are you sure it's comfortable for the player? Out of curiosity, is the sound towards the dark side?
David Stiles
I think it looks very cool. Better not show my wife, she will want me to make one! What is the timber?
Andreas Preuss
Pretty cool! i think there are thousands of creative variables to design violins. Therefore I started to build my new concept violin. (Initially ‘super light violin) You find the process of the construction on MM in the ‘contemporary makers gallery’ section. However, I believe every design must be driven by an idea for the sound. What is your idea behind your design? (And what’s the weight?) Zeissica
Very cool! The blue color goes with the modern, angular look. I'd love to hear one of these - please post videos when there are some.
FiddleDoug
I love it!!!!
Rue
Pretty! But, dunno if I'd want one. Maybe if I played fiddle or in an alternative band?
Nicolas Temino
Not my personal choice of color, but otherwise I like it. Congrats.
Spelman
That thing is sweet, I'd play the hell out of that fiddle. Love the color.
David Burgess
I question whether blue is a desirable color for wood. While reds, yellows, browns and tans are natural colors for various woods, isn't blue usually an indication of mold infestation?
jezzupe
Looks like transtint, good job with getting the color even Reminds me of something I'd make, I would have gone purple or green, but hey, color is pretty subjective, good job
