Violin labelled Pietro Antonius dalla Costa

I acquired this violin about a year ago, labelled 'Pietro Antonius dalla Costa .. '

It only got unpacked a few days ago, and I will probably only manage to rig it up next month. Antonius passed away 1768 or 1770, but this is dated after his death, 1779. As per usual, it is expected to be a copy whilst one's curiosity can't be helped, so opinions are welcome. If called for, I could include more pics.

Not a copy at all, just a violin with a spurious label.
From the limited pictures, the violin looks to be French. The sort of thing people optimistically like to refer to as Caussin school.

@ Dave Slight:

Appreciated, also I am so impressed how one is able to tell. That is so interesting, I can't wait to see what it sounds like. (Even the established guys were so 'naughty' in those days. placing false labels into their instruments, just so as to be able to sell them more easily.)
