scordatura
Saw this viola in the Museo di Violino in Cremona. Photos are difficult with the lighting and glass.

David Burgess
Well, that solves the mystery of who bought the viola at the recent Tarisio auction.

Oh, good, you're still with us. When I saw the thread title, "MN's Own David Burgess in Museo di Violino", I was afraid they'd had you stuffed, and put you on display in a diorama, or something. If I remember correctly, it was in 1982 that I won, and Gusset in 1985, way back when he and I still had pigment in our hair. It was a little weird. I got a phone call from Italy informing me that I had won, and requesting that I show up for the awards ceremony. The ceremony started in seven hours. David Burgess
The lower statue must be of David when he was working from home during the pandemic.
