Saxon Violin from 1800-1840

Recommended Posts

Hi I have just bought what I'm told is a 19c Saxon violin. Can anyone tell me how to know it's real, it doesn't just look old it is old i.e it hasn't been played for at least 50 years the person who sold it me said he knew the owner before he died.

Thanks Andy Roberts

Hi Andy welcome to the forum.

If you can post pictures of the violin as per link below then the knowledgeable members may be able to tell you what you have.

Regards,

Shelbow

To quite a few of us here, that won't sound very old. ;)

By all means, post photos!
