They have a few star lots on their website, but I wonder what else they have. They have been on a mission going around the world recently trying to collect stuff for the auction. They are still doing valuations up until the 16th of March in the UK. Although they have announced the finish date and viewing date of the next auction, they are yet to announce the start date. This is a bit unsual for them from what I have witnessed previously. I do wonder if this means something......
GeorgeH
1 hour ago, Shelbow said: I do wonder if this means something...... Well, maybe it means it is significantly cheaper to buy outside of UK, so sellers are shipping to Tarisio in Berlin instead. These are the VAT symbols from Tarisio London: VAT symbols on Description: Ω - TI - non-antique - 20% charged on the hammer ‡ - TI - antique - 5% charged on the hammer † - Normal VAT rules - 20% charged on hammer and premium No Symbol - Auctioneer's Margin Scheme - 20% charged on the premium (except when exported within 3 months) VAT refunds are available for export sales

But yes if we are talking of Tarisio, It makes complete sense that the Berlin would see more focus from Tarisio, it's consigners and buyers post Brexit. I would assume that Bromptons is having the same challenges in attracting European consignments as Tarisio London because of the UK VATs. Most likely, but they have also been on a tour around the US, Italy and UK etc so I am just curious to see what the outcome of this is. I am also interested to see if there is an impact from the war, either from a consignment or purchasing point of view. I have no idea how big the Russian market is (Please someone educate me if you know about this), but I do know that a lot of couriers are not currently shipping to Russia so I am wondering if this may be reflected in the bidding. I am just interested in general, I have no data and no inside information. Just speculating.

Oh Urgh - slightly hard to answer this one, but it is a fair point. It's a cataloguing problem more than anything. J T-L probably but not entirely definitely, so I thought I would catalogue generally. Happy to revise if you can come up with a more satisfactory description. Truth be told it is far from being the instrument I focussed on the most.
