Can experts be prejudiced by other experts?

I don’t think you are addressing the “question” at all. When colleagues meet privately to discuss the attribution of an instrument, of course one doesn’t want the colleague to have any hint of what the instrument is “supposed” to be, so as to get his/her unvarnished original opinion. The Op question was rather the situation, when a client presents an instrument with previous historic documentation.
