I am trying to get an idea of the value of this fiddle for a friend of mine who is selling it.

The label for info on the fiddle is ‘Antonio Stradivarius 1690‘. I tried to capture it in one of the photos.

Any insights would be useful.

Both of your (friend's) fiddles look like rather cheapish Schonbach trade instruments from ca. 1900. Obviously they are in a need of a new set up, maybe more work, that's all what the photos are telling. Therefore the value is quite low, to say the least.

It looks more like cheap Mirecourt than Schönbach to me.  Not that it really matters...

We have a saying "At night all cats look grey".:)

Value is that what you can get in Ebay, for example. Some here would also say "50 quid for both with shipping".
