Thanks folks. Truth be told, I am rather enjoying geezerdom. I can say, "Kids today" with an air of disdain, and people will think I actually mean it. I no longer feel out of place at the old folks restaurant up the street (which is actually a very good restaurant.. be sure to keep that a secret from the young folks). I can whip out my AARP card and brandish it threateningly. I can shop at Kroger during the time slot reserved for old people , due to the pandemic (although I often don't remember why I am there, or where I parked my car). It don't get much better than that. Life is good. ;)

Over here, you wouldn't need a car, you could just flash your “senior citizen“ card and have a free ride on the bus

Another thing that comes with age is repeating yourself, so here goes:

Happy Birthday, Best Wishes,  Good Health and Prosperity,  but not necessarily in that order. We all know that health comes first!

It's too early in the day here, but I'll drink a toast to you later this evening!

I am also eligible for for free rides on the bus, but it doesn't seem like a great idea right now. Unlike the buses, no one but my wife and I have been in our cars for at least three months. And we are able to rotate them, alternating every three days (or much longer) to give any Corona viruses brought into the car enough time to die a natural death.

Some of the epicenters of the disease correlate highly with public transportation. Ever been on a New York subway during rush hour? :o

Meanwhile, happy birthday, David. You have to live long enough to make me a cello.

That would be a privilege. I an unable to say right now whether or not fulfilling existing commissions will exceed my life expectancy.

Happy Birthday, David.  Enjoy  your youth and pay no attention to that fake news coming out of Britain that alcohol will dull your immune system and make you more likely to catch something or another, I forget just what.  What do the Brits know about drinking anyway?

There are lots of studies showing that alcohol intake suppresses testosterone production. How  Violadamore will use this information to her best advantage, in one way or another, remains to be seen. :lol:spacer.png

What is even more weird are the statistics suggesting that smokers have a higher Corona virus survival rate.

[Spots gauntlet lying on ground, sprays it heavily with Lysol, picks it up with long tongs, and raises a middle finger.]   Despite the transparent ploy, no. I'm not shipping you a case of Scotch for your birthday.  You can forget the cartons of smokes, too.  Good try, though.  :P

Well, then, we’re even. I’m not sure I would live long enough to pay for it.

So you start making, I’ll start saving, and we’ll see who stops first.
