This Francis Boyle guy is a lawyer, not a physician. He used to be on the board of Amnesty International, currently specializes in international law, and started his career practicing tax law. Here's his bio - https://law.illinois.edu/faculty-research/faculty-profiles/francis-boyle/

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Francis_Boyle

" He drafted the US domestic implementing legislation for the Biological Weapons Convention, known as the Biological Weapons Anti-Terrorism Act of 1989, that was approved unanimously by both Houses of the US Congress and signed into law by President George H. W. Bush."

I may be incorrect by putting Dr. in front of his name but I think I remember the host addressing him as such, or maybe it was professor, ever since that interview his wiki page is being messed with...but that being said, again there is lots of information out there,  {0 shrub} being a good place to find info, regardless, of what the origin is stupid panicky people do stupid panicky things, so shop early, beat the crowd

Costco in Brooklyn, ya it's no big deal

I think the point is he is not a biological scientist.

I understand, I do belive I mentioned that I may have misspoke by putting Dr. ,  he does have experience with the subject, that being said, within two days of Covid19 hitting the first news, an Indian research team{ of biological scientist} determined that HIV was "in" it, that of course was quickly dismissed by mainstream, jerkmeoff at twitter banned 0hedge for reporting it,and quite frankly it's pretty common knowledge at this point whereas anyone can go on duckduckgo and research and find PLENTY of information, from biological scientist from several countries declaring that there are man made elements of the virus, as well as the entire story behind where it came from and how.

Again it's really not the main point of my post,if you want to get caught up on semantics of the situation thats dandy, all you need to do is look at this thing called reality

1. it has and will continue to shut down major urban areas with quarantines, including schools and general day to day operations including many business

2. it has dramatically effected international travel

3. it has dramatically effected all financial markets and will continue to do so, you will not be able to continue to do business as usual for quite some undetermined period of time.

4.it has proven to have a high enough death rate to be something to worry about

5. regardless of whatever killing power the virus has itself, a perhaps more dangerous element will be the "human panic factor, again with these things there is importance to "what it is" but what can be more important is what people think, regardless if its "true" or not.

chronologically this has just got started, there is an entire story that will need to play out with this, best case scenario it peters out and goes away soon, worse case it continues to spread and just keeps going on and mutates forcing the choice of trying to get back to business as usual  or continue to stay in stasis waiting for it to go away, problem is either one can lead to a unsustainable "hibernation" that could pretty much make everything fubar for everyone

So again my advice is, if you are still in a place that is not in panic mode , go shop now while it's easy and there is stuff on the shelves.

how much longer will this be able to go on?, I find this video very disturbing, there is no blood or guts, just the horror of the reality of being cooped up weeks on end, collectively

Sorry...what exactly are we supposed to be seeing in this?  A chorus of people yelling over a dimly lit panning of an unidentifiable city?

It is curious that the SARS 2003 started in china,,,,,,,

just an observation,

nothing more.

Well, not really.  Overcrowding, wet market (not especially hygenic), blah blah blah...it's gonna happen.

They'd have to change the entire market system.  They tried, and failed. Now they've started to make changes again, we'll have to see if it takes.

Well the Chinese eat a lot more wild beasties than many cultures. They also smoke like there's no tomorrow ...

nice edit

you know, instead of listening to me, an infj "conspiracy nutjob", why don;t "youall" listen to the professor from Illinois, the guy who wrote the worlds most recent protocols about bioweapons, you know, the nutjob I learned it from and make up your own mind....

Because he's an absolute loose cannon, and has been for decades.  If you look at his other shenanigans, it kinda undermines his credibility on the current issue.  :P

Flew back from Trieste to Standstead this evening, landed about 10.30pm. No health checks at border control nothing at all.

Yeah, but the UK is run by the Reptaloids, while the Chinese violin factories are a Pleiadian operation.  It's just the usual infighting among offworld trading groups.  Ask Jezzupe, he can tell you. ;)

It has always struck  me that only in the last 50 years in our history have we had relative freedom  from infectious disease.

All through  history we expected to deal with deaths on a huge scale. Plague, smallpox, venereal disease,  cholera, measles, TB, polio, war, and famine. I was reading  the  annals of Dublin recently,  and in one entry the population was so devastated by plague that the grass grew in the church doorways.

While it's  a tragedy that a new disease will kill some of us, I think we'll just have to accept it. I think we have become far too anxious and fearful of the world.  In my opinion  the  world is in wonderful  shape,  certainly compared to fifty years ago,  and we shoud  celebrate  it. Unfortunately,  I think the most profitable commodity being peddled these days is fear, and we're lapping it up.

Just saying..

Very true...

My grandfather had smallpox...and a bad complexion...

My uncle had polio, luckily only resulting in a life-long leg brace...and which kept him out of the military...

My aunt died of diphtheria...

I had chicken pox as a matter of course and both types of measles (rubella and roseola). Had shingles years later...

One of my friends has heart issues during to Scarlet Fever.

My kids each had chicken pox...but were among the relatively few in their age group. But - all three had mono (as young adults)...

I'd rather be vaccinated and not get sick...but getting sick is just part of being alive...(and hopefully staying alive)...

Doesn't mean it's not scary- especially with the constant hype. I wish they'd put out a comprehensive death toll - in one location so we all get the same data...stating how many reported cases, how many recovered cases, and the initial health/age of the deceased. I think that would help reduce panic...

I don't wish to antagonize you so I edited my post, but actually right now I think good advice about hygiene and disease control is more useful than a speculation about causes.

100% and that's been the only thing I've been trying to get across. As for Boyle and his credibility, all I know is the moment you openly stand against the political movement that has a Z as the starting letter to it's name that you will magically and usually successfully be branded a nutjob. But whatever it's not really the issue.

THE issues is not about speculating about the source, it is about protecting "you" and your family. this was not about causing panic, it's about pre-emptive preparations that you would hope most would already have, but "we" all know they way the world works and that there are many people who through the wonders of society have the ability to do their daily foraging for food, that is probably not a good stratagem right now for anyone, and so hopefully "you" whoever you are, have taken the time to stock up on foods and things you will need in the advent of some type of quarantine coming to your town.

What going on in Italy is very scary, and we may be seeing the numbers there what they are because they may be able to give more accurate truthful statistics as compared to other places.

The good news is that for now it seem the spread on China has slowed, but then again we must remain skeptical about such figures based on the source.

Anyway, I hope everyone stays safe and makes it out ok and again regardless of whatever the virus is, based on what it's doing, the "human factor" is also a big issue, financial reactions are a "human factor" not just the general panic.

Thanks Evan - that's handy!

Regardless...this virus is making everyone rethink things a bit. Hubby has a wicked cold...but felt had to attend a meeting. He probably scared everyone on the plane. While he is attending the actual meetings ..he's sitting 6 feet away from everyone, not shaking hands, and is not going to the dinners and banquets...

I think everyone prefers it that way...

again this shows some of the comedy, if you could call it that, of the "Surgeon General" suggestion to not wear masks.

Mask are an effective way for YOU to not transmit your spray to others,if you are a dormant carrier or even have a regular cold, it is a courtesy to others and IS effective at containing your germs to a certain extent, if this was not the case Surgeons would not use them during operations

Think you don't spray? look at the screen cover on your stupidphone after talking on speaker phone

and so to suggest they are useless is irresponsible not accurate information that makes you question what SG WHO and CDC are all about.
