Square edge but with fluting.

Since I DO have a CNC machine and instruments to make, playing with Fusion would slow things down.  The square edge with (very rough) fluting is what I have been cutting, but rather than create a model of it, I just create the Gcode from 2.5d profiles so I can cut.  I therefore have no pretty images to show for it, other than the roughed wood plate.

I hope to have a bit more than pretty images to show later this year after I have made a decision on the purchase of the CNC machine... And after I have learned how to run it. I hope that gaining a good understanding of the software now will help me later on.

Even more of a challenge would be to get the CNC to actually cut the rounded outside edge... which is why won't bother to model it in such lovely detail, or any detail at all for that matter.  That's to be done by hand later.  CNC is just to cut the outline pretty close, with square edges, so that's the extent of my model.

For the edge shape shown, I don't think that the apparently full rounded arc is quite right.

Right. I use the CNC to get me close and fast. There are still lots of opportunities for fine handwork.
