Bloodwood/Satine Bow Blanks - suitable for beginners

Recommended Posts

On offer are 34 blanks of Bloodwood, a Brosimum species (like snakewood), which has been used historically for bowmaking and is still in use, especially for Baroque bows. This particular lot is a bit light (.93 density) and shows extremely high Lucchi readings, in the 7000s. As such, it is not ideal for fine bows, but it would be valuable wood to practice bowmaking techniques without risking fine pernambuco, snakewood, or the like.

Asking $25 per stick, or $800 for the lot ($50 savings).
