Three13 Report post Posted October 18 I recently came across this fiddle - based upon the straight C Bouts and the narrow grain of the top it looks English to me. It has been neatly blocked and lined at some point, so it's probably not going to be easy to identify, but I figured people here might have a little fun with it... Blank face Report post Posted October 18 Seeing that the bottom has double purfling but the belly single only I would assume that they don't belong together, or something was altered later. Generally it gives me a Saxon/Bohemian impression.
Wood Butcher Report post Posted October 18 An English origin would be way down my list.
PhilipKT Report post Posted October 18 There appears at one time to have been a fifth peg in the peg box?
