Is this a Voirin cello bow?

Recommended Posts

These photos aren’t very good, but they are the best I have at the moment. This is a nice silver mounted bow, allegedly a Voirin. Thoughts from the Populi?

Slightly difficult to say with that wear to the thumb projection.

The adjuster definitely not, but it doesn't belong anyway. The ferrule looks too square to me, and maybe the forehead a bit short.

The Populi (sic) need to see the brand and the details of the pinning on the underslide and the bottom plate. It has a slightly MK feel but I wouldn't rule it out at this stage.

Martin thank you very much.

I will get better photos as soon as we get home.  We are in Taiwan right now, and I am desperate for some time behind a cello. It’s difficult to describe how much you miss playing when you’re away from it.
