If I paraphrase you, perhaps you would understand better what happened here: I suppose on MN you can find more appropiate place to post pedantic comments, I am sure there are people who will welcome that. It sounds like it could be low. Not critiquing - I enjoyed it, just trying to explain why somebody might say it sounded metallic. I try to sound metallic, to me it is the most magical sound, but rich metallic. It looks better now too. The original pictures could be the Red Violin immediately after it was dug up out of the grave. I don't know exactly but I will check it. Also, my bow had only a half of the bristles when I make the video. Anyway seems clear that the guy which posted about metallic sound does not really want to be constructive, so I don't care about understanding his reasons. But...that audience is small...and mostly comprised of 5 year olds. However, I was very pleased to see an older couple, both beginners, had also contributed! Yes. I understand that. However, the point of the video was to reflect on the playability of the violin... I am an intermediate player...with on-going technical issues . Last thing I would need is for someone to focus on my mistakes. I know very well what those mistakes are. My low self-esteem doesn't need some else to confirm them. Good thing Josep is made of sterner stuff. At first I did not dare to make a video by the same reasons than you but then I tried to hear myself and was very illustrative. If you play without teacher (as I do) a video is very helpful.

Yep! When I was a child I wanted a lot to be a virtuoso violinist but later the life brought me to other things. Althougt that, I've never lost my passion on classical music. To me play the violin is still one of the most pleasant activities. I'm very happy to work to improve my violin playing even if I'm not a professional violinist. As you know, it's not that difficult if you apply yourself as contentiously as you would to anything else of extreme importance. I would have suggestions to you, but I would also have suggestions to Milstein. That is the devil sitting on my shoulder, maybe.

I do not think phone or mic is responsible, more probably setup , repair generally or your playing. What I want to say - I'm absolutely sure there are many of us here not hoping to hear(read) pages of your opinion as expert nor listen your playing and posting it as about ID, which probably is most intriguing topics always . Many of us are here to learn from real experts, improve our knowledge. There are many senior members which deserve all our attention and thanks for their generosity to teach and tell many important things, that is what many of us are looking for, but not for incompetent statements and selfies. Curiously, some of this many senior members are teaching us added some comment about your way of criticizing, also about your particular point of view concerning the 'bricks' and the sound. Seems you have not learned yet about them here. Be more humble and preach by example
mathieu valde
If you want a post another mediocre playing video it is better to spend time on practising instead of so much posting here
