I don't know the author but it's modern not ancient.  Is there a translation to the text on it?

Interesting drawing, because it shows a sort of self rehair bow frog and at the same time it is written in Italian.

He owned it for a while, but the drawings and text are probably Hildegard Von Bingen or Mayan aliens.
