Jeff Jetson Report post Posted May 4, 2019 I do find TwoSet videos interesting and a pleasant diversion from the sometimes stuffiness I so often perceive in the violin world.
jezzupe Report post Posted May 4, 2019 why do they call it a frog? that is a question I don't have an answer to, nor have ever thought about much before....I'm sure someone here would know.
baroquecello Report post Posted May 4, 2019 @jezzupe Before the frog had an eyelet and screw, it was just wedged between the hair and the stick, nowadays known as a Clip-in frog to HIPP People. If you don't wedge it in properly, or the Little Ridge on the stick is worn out, it slides out of it, and "jumps" away just like a frog jumps away. Thats where the Name Comes from. You can imagine how it could go jumping out by watching this (though the little bugger is well controlled in the video):

Michael Szyper Report post Posted May 5, 2019 26 minutes ago, Herman West said: I find them insufferable. So did I in the first video i have seen. Nowadays i enjoy them a lot, at least from the moment i realized that they are pretty good violinists. There is one fact that they have with David Garrett in common - no matter if you like them or not, they make violin and string music pretty popular among young people and children. And without the children’s passion for classical music it may decline some day.
