No varnish under the fingerboard

Same, plus I'm cheap.

I varnished (oil varnish) for the first time with the board on.  I wrapped a lint-free cloth (old linen napkin) around a pallet knife to varnish under the board.  Easy as can be.  I don't plan on temporarily gluing FBs any more.

Me too, except I use a nitrile glove.
