It’s for hanging on the wall, not playing, so you needn’t worry about finding a case.

I wonder how one can tell it’s „French“.

Personally I don't like the looks of any cornerless violin , not even the Strad Josh Bell used to play.

Maybe it is because the shape of a well made acoustic guitar to me seems just right and somehow the violin versions don't.

This violin has an overly shiny varnish (?alcohol based) and has a bit of a mass produced look to it but maybe

I'm too critical.

When I play, my right thumb tends to contact the lower treble corner, so I'd prefer a three-cornered violin simply for my own convenience.  But then what would I fasten my "strad pad" onto?
