Violin ID required

Either a (more simple) Saxon or Salzkammergut with nice original tailpiece. The date looks absolute believable. With an adequate fingerboard it could well serve as a baroque or "classical" instrument.

Interesting decoration at the scroll ears, probably original, too.

Yes the scroll's rather err...eccentric.

I never was sure if it's called "eye" or "ear" in English - but thinking of the Tarisian Van Gogh school it's supposed to be deaf, not blind?
