cellopera Posted December 2, 2018 Report Posted December 2, 2018 (edited) Greetings! A family member of mine has bought this violin back in 2001, labeled “Nicolaus Bergonzi Cremonensis faciebat 1760”. The seller claimed that the back of the instrument is original and the table built later. I would really appreciate your opinion! Edited December 2, 2018 by cellopera
martin swan Posted December 3, 2018 Report Posted December 3, 2018 The back of the instrument is original what ...? It all looks to me like it belongs together, from Saxony late 19th century, in very good condition.
germain Posted December 3, 2018 Report Posted December 3, 2018 Inexpensive German fiddle... hopefully it sounds good
Nick Allen Posted December 3, 2018 Report Posted December 3, 2018 Looks BOB to me. The scribed "N" on the back appears rather dubious.
jacobsaunders Posted December 3, 2018 Report Posted December 3, 2018 A staight forward Makneukirchener Ware "Dutzendarbeit"
