PhilipKT Posted December 9, 2018 Report Share Posted December 9, 2018 In the absence of any really detailed close-up photographs, as in taken from three or 4 inches away, and maybe even in the presence of really detailed photographs, your best bet is to show it to one of the musical instrument auction house experts. Depending on where are you are you have access to Skinner, Tarisio, Brompton’s and probably individual dealers of wide respect and reputation. And the “bear claw” spruce, what main regions would we expect the source? I’m only familiar with the western coast US and Canada source.
