dpappas
Does anyone use the Pirastro Korkerrest (not the cradle version). I’m curious what your experiences are. I’m not interested in a shoulder rest vs no rest debate, just info on the pirastro rest. Thanks!
devaraja42
It's a moderately high shoulder rest, even at its lowest setting - I have many friends who use it and love it, but it is too high for me personally. I wish they made a version that went lower!

matesic
Blimey what a price - £700 for the full prosthesis including cradle. I'd worry that the audience might think I'd had a broken collar bone pinned.
dpappas
The cradle seems excessive for me, but if it makes a difference and someone has the money to spend then to each his/her own. The rest itself looks pretty interesting. I keep my Kun pretty high but it’s shape is not optimal for me.
matesic
For me minimal works best. Having started with the Voigt wooden design I used Wolf Secundo for years but have now come back to thinly upholstered wood in the very elegant Hox form. The elaborate contraptions some people make for themselves amaze and amuse me, and the Korfkerrest reminds me of those. Not a "cool" look, however well it may work!
