Mark Neukirchen Posted October 7, 2018 Report Posted October 7, 2018 The estimate proved to be a bit on the conservative side. Any thoughts as to who made it? https://t2-auctions.com/auctions/lot/?csid=2198913024&cpid=3542040576&filter_key=

matesic Posted October 8, 2018 Report Posted October 8, 2018 And who makes the bids? I recently witnessed an unidentified, damaged French bow estimated at about £500 bid up to more than £10K. One bidder was on the internet, the other on the phone. Knowledgeable folk in the room made scornful noises.

The hooky back of the head combined with the lack of "forehead" is quite unusual ... very interesting bow. The collar of the adjuster seems to be made of nickel, or at least a different material from the rest of it. I suppose if Tarisio had got any further with it then it wouldn't have been in T2!
