Janito Posted July 6, 2018 Report Posted July 6, 2018 I cannot find anything now using the crappy search function in the new Maestronet software. I know that it is possible to search much more efficiently using an external search engine, but, unfortunately, I can never remember the correct syntax when I need to perform a search. It would be great to have the instructions in one place. TIA
MikeC Posted July 7, 2018 Report Posted July 7, 2018 "search term" site:maestronet.com Note there is a colon after the word site. it's small and hard to see. I don't remember off hand if you need single quote or double quote around the thing you are searching for. You don't need quotes if it is a single word with no spaces in it
Quadibloc Posted July 7, 2018 Report Posted July 7, 2018 I thought you didn't need quotes at all if you were searching for multiple words instead of a phrase. If a phrase, double quotes, but single quotes may work too.
MikeC Posted July 7, 2018 Report Posted July 7, 2018 maybe not needed but I use them. I think by using quotes it searches for that exact combination of words. Without quotes it an either/or search. I could be wrong though. Google it for an answer.
