Craig fought a life long battle against an incredible array of health challenges, and he faced those challenges in a way that can only be marveled at. To the end, he faced his fate with a calm and brave comportment. Yet for all of his trials, Craig was blessed to always have his dedicated wife Mary close by his side. He will be greatly missed.

For those of you to whom Craig was a friend, I am deeply sorry for your loss. His contributions to Maestronet over the years showed him to be a principled and thoroughly decent human being, fulsome in in his praise of good work and gentle but constructive in his criticism.

All of us, whether we knew him as a friend, virtual advisor or knew him not at all are poorer today with his passing.

My thoughts are with his friends and wife Mary.

Again, I am deeply sorry for your loss.

I have been thinking about Craig recently, realizing that he had not posted lately. I kind of knew, and I am so sad to see that he has passed away. When?

I was amazed by his proactive attitude toward his health. He seemed to have a really great, happy life, and I will always remember him for that reason. And I liked his meandering writing style, both pensive, and humorous.  I didn't know him personally but I admired the heck out of him for his incredible strength. I don't know if I would be strong enough to get dealt a health hand like his and stay around another 32 years. Not only was he persistent, he was productive, creative, and always learning new things too, like his foray into bow making last year.

Craig was very generous ,  compassionate and helpful to amateur violin makers.  I will miss his contribution to Maestronet.  Condolences and prayers to his family.

As a long time lurker, I never participated in discussions with CT, but greatly enjoyed reading his posts. He was a unique voice (of reason!) and freely shared his thoughts and insights. When he had his stroke, I was glad to follow his progress while he was on the mend (virtually rooting for him). From afar, it seems obvious family was very important and a huge boost to Craig. While necessarily a bittersweet one, it seems a blessing that his wife could be with him to the end.

Heartfelt condolances to all those affected by his passing.

I was planning to visit soon and get an alien tour,  and he'd promised a special dinner.

Condolences to Mary and friends and family.  He was well-liked here, and so I assume everywhere.  That's the true measure of everything.
